4. Take ‘Before’ Photos for Future Reference

Now is a good time to take snapshots of your existing kitchen to serve as both a reminder and a reference later on. Simply shoot each wall from as far back as you can get, going around the room. Take a few overall shots and some close ups of any details you like or dislike. many people skip this step and later regret it for several reasons. One, its fun to look at the ‘before’ and ‘after’ shots of your kitchen. Two, these photos may prove valuable during the construction process after you’ve demolished the old kitchen and your plumber or electrician is looking for clues about what happened to a pipe or wire they’re looking for or a possible use for one they’ve found. And, if you’re working with a designer they can help them visualize your space while working on your design.
