Disposals are mounted under the sink and attached to the main drain or in the case of multiple well sinks, under the well used for initial clean-up and food preparation. Disposals can be added after the kitchen is built but installation requires power and a Ground Fault protected wall switch away from the water source. This means that if you think you’ll want a disposal you should have your electrician plan for it. Disposals come in various sizes and powers and we can only recommend buying the most powerful one you can afford.
